Merry Christmas! (And Happy Boxing Day)

So I decided to take yesterday off, as it was Christmas Day! I had a very relaxing day lounging around the tree. I even got some ribbon to play with!

As you can tell, this was my favorite spot. Hidey-hole with sun?!? FTW

I am happy that my pal's family keeps their tree up for a while after Christmas, because I could get used to hanging around in and under the tree.

Merry Christmas to all, and Happy New Year! I hope that everyone on the interwebs had a fabulous holiday. Especially my old friend in Chicago!

Duck Hunting!

Today was a beautiful day in Austin. It was near 70 degrees F and we went to a farmers market. My pal's family is going to cook duck for Christmas dinner, so they had to go find someone selling fresh duck. I snapped a quick photo while I was there.... but it wasn't the most exciting part of the day....

THIS WAS!!!!!!!!!!
After my pal's attention on Reddit last week, someone requested to send her a gift, even after her trying to refuse (yeah, I know. Refuse presents?) She gave him her Amazon wish list and told him to be cheap.... but she got the best present ever! (Perhaps other than me.)
Her anonymous UK secret santa sent her the first two seasons of the show The Tudors on DVD!
We're pretty excited and are going to have a tudors-marathon as soon as she finds a way to get season 3 on dvd. wooooo!!!

In other news, she's done with all her gift wrapping and is ready to just enjoy the holidays. She should try being a cat like me, we always just get to enjoy every day. Also, rumor has it that it might get cold here tomorrow.... my paws are crossed.

Eek! I took the weekend off!

So this weekend was nice and relaxing, so I didn't get to post. Also, my new pal was spending her whole time on Reddit, so I couldn't grab hold of the computer.

This weekend my pal and I had some naps, and spent time decorating the house, and then organizing presents! She already traded gifts with her boyfriend, and she got a zhuzhu pet!!! He's kinda annoying... but I bet we'll become good friends.

This week is exciting, because Christmas is coming! I do miss my old pal in Chicago though. Are you surviving the snow?!? Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 70's here!!! I can't believe it and really miss the snow.

Oh well, I will get new pictures soon!! Sorry for an all text post.
As my paws are getting tired, I must leave you now. My pal and I are going to watch another episode of the Tudors!

Christmas is coming!...

Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming! So I found an appropriate napping spot.

And then another....

As you can tell, my pal is very slow on decorating her tree. I think lights are finally going up tonight though.

Instead of helping though, we just sat and watched the pretty Texas sunset.

Cool Cat around Town

Oh hai. I shall recap my day for you, as it was an adventure.

First, my new pal took me to her internship with her. Look at this great German engineering. I fit perfectly! This is where I napped while she was working.

Then I got a peek of the Texas Capitol building from the parking garage. It's pretty! And so are the clouds.

We walked up right close to it. For some reason though, there is a sculpture growing out of my head.

There we go, much better. No sculpture-head, and a lovely shot.

Lastly, we got a look at the capitol tree! I was even lit up already and was so pretty, though not as pretty as the one I saw in Chicago.

That's it for today! I shall have to have more shenanigans tomorrow and keep you posted. -W

Biggest Pork Chop Ever

Hello again,

Well my new friend got to go to a Christmas lunch for where she works. They went to some steak house (and didn't bring me! pshaw!) and she got the biggest pork chop I have ever seen. It is like three stacked on top of each other. Just look:

She assures me it was the best giant hunk of meat she's ever eaten. I smell the leftovers though...
kthxbye. Off to find 'em.

He was right... there is no snow!!!

So far in Texas I have noticed a distinct lack of snow... or even cold weather.
Today it's a nice 67 degrees Fahrenheit! I hear though that a cold font is coming.... I wonder if it's anything like Chicago.

If you enhance, you can see my awesome look of disapproval about the lack of snow. At least there are trees. And other cats. And my new pal is pretty cool.
